the Mic
Nazzy the Mic is a 21-year-old rapper from West Philadelphia who has been releasing music since she was 15. Melodic flows, raw lyricism, and real stories about pain, love, and resilience, told the way they happened.
It started with “Last Scar” and she hasn’t slowed down since: 9 albums, 4 EPs, and 18 singles so far. The songs have charted on Apple Music and Spotify, and the people who found them became #NazzyNation.
She doesn’t shy away from the hard topics. Struggle, faith, and self-discovery run through every verse, and the vulnerable records sit right next to the street anthems.
In December 2025 she released “I Am Nazzy,” her first project with GSR Music, the label founded by actor, comedian, and musician Orlando Jones, in partnership with KMG Distribution. “Come Closer” followed in February 2026 and picked up editorial placements on Pandora. The single “Houston” arrived that summer.
Her work has been covered by Music Connection, Earmilk, Notion (UK), Elevator Magazine, and Wordplay Magazine (UK), with press from Brazil to Australia. Her New York debut at City Winery was reviewed by Music Connection.
